It’s that time of year again… for SharePoint Saturday St. Louis! We already have over 200 people registered for the region’s premier free Office 365 training event. The St. Louis SharePoint User Group board and I have been putting in long hours trying to get everything ready for a great event. We have a great lineup of speakers and topics. If you haven’t signed up already, sign up now at http://www.spsevents.org/city/stlouis/stlouis2018. The event is taking place this Saturday, from 8 – 5, at the SLU Workforce Center in the Wool building on Lindell Blvd.

I personally will be presenting “An Introduction to the Bot Framework”. The synopsis is as follows:

A bot is an application that does an automated task, and in general, interacts with humans in a conversational way. The new Microsoft Bot framework, available with .NET, REST, and Node.js APIs, allows developers to create bots that users can interact with via e-mail, Facebook messenger, Slack, Skype, Skype for Business, and more. Microsoft recently released Microsoft Teams, a tool within the Office 365 suite of products that allows teams to carry on chat conversations with one another. In this session, you’ll get an overview of the Microsoft bot framework, and learn how to create and deploy a bot that can be accessed using Microsoft Teams.

See you soon!
